This year is going so fast I can’t believe it’s already spring.
People on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok say that this year is going by way too fast. Teenagers on TikTok believe that the school year is going by faster too, some people at the gateway (teachers and students) think this year is going a little faster than the last. Some say in 2020 we went through a black hole.
Research from https://sitn.hms.harvard says “size and complexity of the networks of neurons in our brains increases – electrical signals must traverse greater distances and thus signal processing takes more time. Moreover, aging causes our nerves to accumulate damage that provides resistance to the flow of electric signals, further slowing processing time.” This explains that aging changes our perception of time due to the slowing of electrical signals traveling through our brain because the neuron increased with aging and the development of the brain.
I asked some students at our school “what theories about this year going by fast or too slow do you believe?” Sherman, Jonathan, and Maliqu say they don’t believe in any theories. But Josh says he believes that we (our solar system) were swallowed by a black hole and that’s what’s distorted our perception of time.
I wonder what other theories there are and if they’re true.
