The way this song opens the album is very unique, against opening this album with some grand opener Elliott choses a sleepy, tired opener. The song, due to the double tracks of both the guitar and vocals and the very muted drumming, sounds exactly like being awake at 2:45 in the morning and just being tired. Everything about this track is great. |

This is another excellent track, the guitar is a highlight and overall the song continues to show what Elliott Smith is about. |

This is one of the best songs you will ever hear, the song opens with a great riff-type thing and continues to be this great rock-folk track. I think that’s something very underrated about Elliot Smith is his knack for sounding like both Dear Prudence and Helter Skelter by The Beatles. |

One of the saddest songs you’ll ever get from Elliott, the song, while sometimes perceived as a love song is actually a song about battling addictions and it’s beautiful |

Then why is your album cover a picture of you? |

The song, to me, sounds like being alone. His singing is broken and vulnerable and the guitar is so consuming and beautiful. |

A great song, but definitely not my favorite, which is funny because I would rather listen to this song than a lot of other songs I love. |

Elliott Smith presentents, yet again his amazing fingerstyle talents as this song ropes you in with every note and every word. |

I don’t have much to say about Cuids trick, aside from the fact Elliott hated the song so much he didn’t include lyrics in the CD or Vinyl editions for this song, but he’s crazy because this song is the perfect “heavy” pick-me-up towards the end of the album. |

Guys… I don’t think Elliott Smith is doing okay. |

The album ends the same way it started, quiet, venerable and true. The song is as simple as it can come, and that’s how it should be. |
